New Programming Approach:

Why?

Kay discussed our approach to move the needle on the metrics and measure the outcomes. To see positive change and build towards working together as a system to fulfill our Strategic Plan and goals. Kay stated everyone will be involved in this process and we will collaborate together.

LaVetta stated a new program catalog will be built from our collaborative efforts, and look similar to our Outreach Supply Catalog. Staff members will have the option to go into the catalog and choose from a list of options.

For more information about the new programming themes, read Kay’s intranet post: http://my.metrolibrary.info/drupal/programming/themes

How will this benefit us?

This new approach will provide an avenue for all staff to work together towards common goals to plan and deliver the best programming and most effective. To promote library experiences, provide outreach in our communities, reduce costs of programs per person, share wealth of creativity, talent, and resources. The whole idea is to narrow the focus during different times of the year with a themed approach.

Kristin passed out a sign-up sheet for the first and second quarters for themed programming.

Meeting adjourned @ 4:30 pm
