1:30   Who are we? A welcome, some history, introductions.

1:40   Janeal clarified Module 3 and answered questions about engagement duties related to collection. She suggested libraries reach out to CD with collection questions and training needs, as these may be new duties for some staff.

1:40   Kristin explained the post-it note exercise to facilitate sharing.

2:00   The group talked about goal-setting, purposes for these services meetings, and general training needs as they relate to children's services.

2:15   SR Overview - Emily explained training, intranet pages, toolkits, postcards, prizes, supplies/SPOC (single point of contact), volunteer and community engagement toolkit, and the school library media specialist breakfast.

2:40   Gloria and Shana presented the Children's Services Sharepoint and suggested watching the introduction videos if anyone was unfamiliar with how Sharepoint works. Programmers can contribute ideas and resources.

2:50   Updates about project teams: Amy reported on 1000 Books Before Kindergarten (1KBBK), Kristin talked about Caregiver Resources, Emily discussed Volunteer and Presenter Background Checks, Teresa reported on Systemwide Events and Themes, Tara talked about Voter Resources, and Dana discussed Program Planning Best Practices.

3:20   Share Time - The group talked about programs and events at their libraries, asked questions of each other, and talked about sharing resources. 

4:20   Kristin shared handouts that are also available in the Sharepoint: Competencies for Librarians Serving Children in Public Libraries (ALSC), Early Brain Development Resources (Family Place Libraries).

4:25   The meeting closed with a brief discussion about children's services and what the programmers wanted to communicate about their jobs that they thought others in the system might not know or understand.
