Describe Recipient:

And the rest of the Superhero Party Cape-Making Crew: Ashley Ecton, Caitlin Goodwin, and Casey Lowry! Here's why: We had about 50 old t-shirts cut into superhero capes, with about 15 more ready to be cut just in case - because we weren't sure what kind of turnout we would have for the party. Well, it turned out to be about 85 kids. These 4 ladies had a non-stop line of children who got to pick out designs to be ironed onto their capes. And when they ran out of the ready-made capes they made new ones, and when they ran out of the new ones they turned the fronts of the t-shirts into capes, and when they ran out of those, they made wristbands out of the sleeves ("and when there was no crawdad to be found, we ate sand"). Somehow, every child that wanted something from the iron-on department got it. And somehow, these ladies never stopped smiling. And I am so grateful that they were there with their amazing skills, creativity, coolness, and kindness.
