Salute: Tess Botkin

Tess Botkin continually impresses staff with her willingness to do whatever is required to present a pleasant environment for our members. Yesterday during a particularly busy time, Tess was informed by a member that several of the daycare children she had with her had rearranged the juvenile Playaways. Tess took the time to check each case, make sure it contained the correct device, and put it back in proper order -- all while keeping an eye on the circulation desk. In the process she also found a DVD case that had been used as a teething device, and dealt with that unpleasant mess.

That she faces circumstances beyond the scope of a circulation clerk without complaint is remarkable. That she keeps her smile and sense of good humor is exceptional.
