Policy

To accomplish its library service and educational goals and objectives, the Library staff, administration and the Metropolitan Library Commission members must remain alert to changing trends and patterns of contemporary library service.

Procedure

As one means of assisting in this effort, the Library affords members of the Library Commission memberships in the following library associations representing the state and national levels:

• State Level Association
• Trustee Division, Oklahoma Library Association (OLA)
• Publications for Members:

Oklahoma Librarian (issued quarterly)

President's Newsletter (issued periodically)

National Level Associations

• American Library Trustee Association (ALTA)
• Public Library Association (PLA)

The above are divisions of the American Library Association (ALA)
