Do you think the Borrowing Policies and Procedures implemented last year satisfied library customers? The Borrowing Policy and Borrowing Procedure Workgroups have created surveys for staff and customers to evaluate the effectiveness of the changes in order to gauge its overall impact.
Changes to the Borrowing Policies and Procedures implemented in Jul. 2017 included increased lending limits for physical items so that customers can check out up to 100 items, put up to 50 items on hold, and renew materials up to 8 times if there is not a waitlist for the item.
No new changes will be made at this time. The surveys were created for the purpose of gauging impact now that the policies and procedures have been in effect for over six months.
All staff are encouraged to participate in the staff survey – where you will be answering questions based on your role as a staff member.
However, staff are also welcome to take the customer survey to express their satisfaction from the perspective of a library customer. The customer survey will be sent out to Dependables and Page Turners later today. It will also be added to the bottom of customer receipts.
The surveys will be available through Feb. 4, 2018.
