Fine waivers
- The one-year trial of going fine-free ends in July, at which point the commission will evaluate the success of the pilot and determine if we will continue being fine-free moving forward. The commission has approved fine waivers for Summer Reading this year since the determination of continuing fine free service will occur after Summer Reading has ended. We know this is confusing for staff and guests, but wanted the option of fine waivers in case they were necessary. Please visit the Fine Waivers page [5] on the Intranet to see guidelines about how they can be used, if they are needed.
Bee Healthy Cafe Coupons
- Thanks to a generous donation from the Bee Healthy Cafe, a limited number of Bee Healthy Cafe free smoothie coupons have been routed to all locations. These can be handed out in a similar way to how Sonic coupons were in the past. They can be a prize for completing a scavenger hunt, attending a library program, or used in another way not directly tied to the main Summer Reading program/prize structure.
