The Friends Fall Membership Campaign!

Lattes are even better when they are served with fresh-baked cookies and enjoyed with our Friends of the Library. This year there will not be a favorite library competition. We will all work together toward the goal of 1200 members. Following the campaign, the friends will recognize each library, as well as select one library in a random drawing to receive two Thanks a Latte bars for you and your customers from the Friends in December.

This year's theme is community. The library serves Oklahoma and the community, just as our Friends Members give back to the library. Their efforts help us, "build smarter communities, one person at a time". More Friends members mean more support living out our mission.  

Volunteer Coordinator, Heidi Port has put together some talking points (listed below) to open the conversation and showcase the work that the Friends do for the library year after year.

• “Did you know our Friends are the major sponsor of Summer Reading each year?”
• “Our Friends’ have given almost $4 million in grants to support the library system”
• “Friends have supported this library by: _____________________________________
• “I belong to the Friends of the library because: _________________________________
• Cost of memberships will be raised at the door on Friday night at Booksale (from $10 to $15)
• While giving customer library receipt: “the services you received today from the library are FREE, but you can show your appreciation and support of the Library by joining the Friends of the Library”
