[1]Starting today, August 2nd, active Zinio app users will receive a message guiding them to download the new RBdigital app. If you are an active Zinio user and do not see the notification, try completely closing the app and relaunching. While the Zinio app will remain active for a time, it will not be supported in any way so it’s important members understand they do need to make the switch sooner rather than later. While inconvenient, there shouldn’t be any serious issues with moving – no magazine downloads will be lost.

After downloading, users log in with the same credentials they used to set up their Zinio account. They will be taken to a home screen where they can browse magazines by covers. The app’s menu is found on the left.

Once in, members will appreciate these new features:

• Checkout/download in app (no more having to go between the website and app)
• Title search, click on a title for the full backlist
• New issue notification
• Multiple view support – read in landscape or portrait
• Article reading options including contrast choice (black on white or white on black) and convert article to text
• Filtering/Sorting
• Browse by cover or by subject (in advanced search)

New users will still need to sign up for an account through the Zinio website [2]. As a reminder, the Zinio website will not be rebranding at the same time as the app. This could cause some confusion. Members will need to sign up on Zinio then download RBdigital.
