This summer the Metropolitan Library System invites members to “build a better world”. We’ve got a database for that (you knew we did)! This week’s database highlight goes to Ebsco’s Hobbies and Crafts Reference Center [1].

“This database offers detailed "how-to" instructions and creative ideas to meet the interests of virtually every hobby enthusiast. Full text is provided from leading hobby and craft magazines.”

This database will guide you through any craft or hobby, from beer making to scrapbooking. Useful for storying time craft ideas too!

This week’s open site is Oklahoma Gardening [2]. Oklahoma Gardening is a weekly tv program to you by Oklahoma State University, this site is a great place to find gardening information specific to our region. You can watch the full episodes on YouTube. In addition to gardening resources, you’ll find recipes, plant identification (yes, that’s poison ivy), and Tips of the Month.
