Value Line's redesigned site

Submitted by tim.spindle on Wed, 07/30/2014 - 16:30

You may have seen and/or heard that Value Line significantly redesigned their website and after attending a recent Value Line webinar (yes, it was as exciting as it sounds, thanks for asking), I wanted to share some tidbits that might prove helpful in navigating VL’s “new” site:

  • ‘Company name or symbol...’ search box at top right: To look at a company's report, type its name or stock symbol and wait for the drop down menu, i.e. do not click the Quote button. Click on the company in the drop down menu & you will be taken to its digital report.
  • Dashboard--Quick Links--Summary & Index: Displays the current Summary & Index report.
  • Dashboard--Quick Links--Selection & Opinion: Displays current Selection & Opinion report.
  • Dashboard--Quick Links--VLIS Current Issue: When you click on a company's name in this section, you'll be taken to that company's digital report. At the top right, there's an easily overlooked link called PDF Reports that will show a menu of the last year's worth of reports for this company. (NOTE: The PDF Reports section contains the same report we keep a physical copy of in the library so if a customer asks for that report, this is where you'll go.) If you scroll to the bottom of the page, you'll see a Value Line PDF Reports section in which you'll see the same reports listed in the PDF Reports menu except in this section, you can also view the current & last year's worth of Industry, Selection & Opinion, and Summary & Index reports. These past issues are very popular with customers so you might point this out to them.
  • Find Ideas--Issues: This section currently says "Coming soon" because eventually, it will house historical issues of reports.
  • Dashboard--Video Commentary--More Videos: This section has video tutorials [1] about Value Line’s new look that you and your customers might watch.

I hope this info is helpful.
