I suspect you may have additional questions about our next steps with regard to all of the upcoming moves toward using new software for events and reserving meeting rooms as well as the new ILS. At this time there are some answers and still tons of questions. Here is what we have decided so far:
We believe it is in our best interest to begin using the Evanced products before we convert our ILS. Some of the reasons for this are that we will enjoy the benefits of the integration of these pieces on day one of the switch to the new ILS and we will have already learned these pieces allowing us to focus more on learning TLC.
We are currently planning on converting to using TLC on Labor Day week 2014 (September 1 time period). That means that we have a very small time to train and integrate. Updated timeline as of February 26, 2014.
The functionality of these products will be designed to match our policies and procedures. We need to make some changes to our meeting room policies and procedures before we begin entering the policy and procedures as 'rules' into the program. Therefore, we will take an update of our meeting room policy to the Commission by mid-March. We are now developing a draft to take to the Commission and we need information on what AV equipment you have and use. In some cases you may be charging groups for AV use, please tell us that as well.
As we move forward, what I find inspiring is the wealth of experience that enriches the MLS team. We have a constant flow of great things coming to our organization. I find it helpful to stay focused on our vision.
