- Author visit April 5, 6, 7. Posters were routed, let Emily know if you need more. Talk it up! Check your paperback section for books.
- Blow up globes – teen goal 1 prize
- Spring Break Stickerthon – March 15 & 16. Sign up ends March 4th except for previous vols!
- May 7 – Free Comic Book Day! Designate a contact person for that day. Setting limits is up to you. E-mail Emily if you have questions.
YA Literature Symposium Reports

Volunteer update – Heidi
- Intranet for Volunteer Supers – Resources, Staff Resources, then Volunteer Supers.
- Online applications and summer information available at www.supportmls.org
- Online applications – respond to teens – use e-mail references and request for parental waiver templates in resource section.
- Possible volunteer applications in searchable database on intranet.

- Teresa – 3rd Annual Peeps Contest – “Peeps on Parade” in April. CSI by Penny Cooper on March 29th. American Red Cross babysitting workshop – paying for 10 participants. Read with a Beat – ED Homeschooler came in second in state.
- Lindsay – still open! Enter through South door.
- Emily – Ghouls Gone Wild Parade theme? Must be literary. October 22nd– Lindsay’s Dad and trailer can be used for the float. Lloyd suggested after the meeting – Legend of Sleepy Hollow.
- Taryn & Anna – doing Book Trailers for Teen Read Week. Pimp my book cart. Social networking classes (for all ages). Boot Camp – they have a great contact.
- John – Fan Fiction, Fan Art. Temporary location for summer programs – going to try stuff in the schools as well.
- Janet – DN Display made of prizes customers could win – ingenious and effective!
- Mallory – gaming contest – prize is an I-pod Touch. Students must complete packet including tech terms, puzzle, book recommendation, etc. Summer volunteers – doing a volunteer mixer after the training. Planning photos of all vols and outstanding volunteer of the week again this year.
