Hello, I'd like to introduce a new concept

using video to disseminate information 

to the organization.



Across, the organization actually.



I want to hear your feedback

 on what you think of this type of format.

Is this something you want to see 

continued.

The holiday season is upon us 

and the - we have an inclement

 weather policy that is coming as well.



You'll be notified the same ways you 

have been and we will are now also having 

something in writing by approved by the 

Commission. 

That governs our closures.


This includes system-wide unexpected

 closures such as those do to inclement 

weather as well as some single facility 

closures do to operational issues.



Remember, that our policies are approved 

by our Commission.



Speaking of policies, I want to mention 

a few Human Resources policies that have

 been under review for a long-time and in 

discussion with our legal counsel.



The unexpected closure which I just 

mentioned to you, the grievance,

the complaint resolution, a fleet safety 

and fleet safety drug and alcohol 

testing. 

Those are for our library owned 

vehicles. 

Record retention and reasonable 

accommodation. 

As well as time and

attendance.



The purpose of these policies going

 right now is really because of a

c ombination of many factors 

including a Commission request,

 legal protection for the organization, 

as well as safety of our employees.



Now these are going to go to 

the A&P, which is Administrative &

 Personnel Committee on December the 4th

 and Commission will also review them on

 December 14th. 

In the meantime,

 these are going to be posted to 

the Intranet shortly, where you can 

review them.



Procedures include how we insure

that the intent of the policies, which are

approved the Commission are fulfilled.



The procedures of some of the policies

 that I just mentioned to you will also be

posted to the Intranet, later in December,

 where you can review them.



The Leadership Team met yesterday

 and we discussed these policies 

and we are prepared to assist you with

any questions that you may have about 

them.



One more announcement, I want to make 

to ya is a-is I'd like to share with you 

that the Bethany Library, you may know 

this they do have a live construction

 cam of the 

Bethany Library and this coming Tuesday,

they are going to pour the 

west foundation.



The concrete for the west foundation and

 we will also have a time lapse video 

of that.



So, you will be able to find that is on 

our, Bethany Library webpage as well as

 the City of Bethany webpage.
