Hello Everyone,
Based on the February 2024 Usability Testing and other feedback, the following changes will be made to Aspen on Wednesday, May 8th:
1. The due date will display for items checked out.
2. Add “Special Collections at Downtown Library” to the “Library Hours and Locations” list.
3. Add a placard for Special Collections / Oklahoma Room. (If someone searches for either, a message will display to give information with a link to their landing page).
4. Turn on Fine History. (This will only show transactions made in the Aspen Discovery catalog. Anything that is paid in the library through Point of Sale will not be displayed).
5. Add banner on fines page: “Payments are non-refundable. If you believe you paid a fine and it's still displaying on this page, please reach out to library staff.”
6. Update “Research & Learn” to “Research Databases” to be consistent with main Library website.
7. In My Account, change “Fees” to “Fees / Lost Items”.
8. Update “Export to CSV” to “Print List” in My Lists, Checked Out Titles, Titles on Hold, and My Reading History.
9. Update the status “In Library Use Only” to display as “Contact Special Collections.”
10. Update “Hold failed” and “Cancelling hold failed” errors to direct guest to contact library staff. Will show as “Cancelling hold failed. Please reach out to library staff if reloading page does not reflect the change” or “Placing hold failed. Please reach out to library staff if hold is not placed on the item.”
Thanks to Tricia Andrews, Megan Filipowski, Devin Mcghee, and others who helped with the UX testing and to all of you for the feedback to help us improve Aspen for our guests!
Sincerely,
Mira
