If you’re searching for something to do while the library is closed for Labor Day this Monday, consider attending “ReaderCon,” a free event for all who love books.
WriterCon, the OKC-based annual writing conference, is expanding its programming to include “ReaderCon,” which will take place at the Renaissance Waterford in OKC (6300 Waterford Blvd, Oklahoma City, OK 73118) on Monday, September 4 (Labor Day).This event is free and open to the public.
It will include talks from over 25 authors across genres including Lisa Gardner, the New York Times-bestselling author of suspense novels like One Step Too Far, and Tosca Lee, the New York Times-bestselling author of historical and biblical novels like Sheba. Conversation topics will cover topics like AI and podcasting. Some Oklahoma authors will be present and signing books including Tamara Grantham, Rilla Askew, Rene Gutteridge, and Callie Hutton.
ReaderCon will also include a book-themed costume contest, a spelling bee, afternoon tea, Harry Potter wand crafting, Book Jeopardy and “mystery” activity.
