We are excited to begin the communication plan for Staff Development Day 2023 (SDD'23): Strategic Futures!

Now, that you're sufficiently hyped about what's to come, here are some details about the day:

This year's event is going to take on more of a conference structure and feeling. We are going to gather as professionals with a shared interest in the Metropolitan Library System. We will come together to exchange ideas, discuss current issues, and attend presentations and a keynote speech from industry experts. Conferences focus on networking, sharing knowledge and experiences, and staying up-to-date with the latest industry and business trends. We look forward to connecting with each other in this format!

SDD'23 will focus on the following:
• Our Mission: Connecting our diverse communities with resources and experiences to educate and enrich lives.
• Our Core Values: Diversity, Equity and Inclusion; People First; Innovation; Respect; and Integrity

Breakout sessions are returning and will focus on three goals of our Strategic Framework:
• Strengthening Literacy Efforts
• Strengthening Community Connections
• Optimizing Resources
