We are looking for skilled library staff throughout the system (locations and departments) to lead SDD sessions this year. Our focus this year is the three pillars of our strategic framework, and we would like for each program to fit into one of these three areas:
• Goal 1 - Strengthening literacy efforts
• Goal 2 - Strengthen community connections
• Goal 3 - Optimize resources
Please ask yourself these three questions:
• Do you enjoy sharing and presenting information?
• Do you have a topic that will benefit your colleagues?
• Can your topic be tied to one of the three goals of our strategic framework?
If your answer is "YES", we invite you to submit the Call for Presenters form available here [2] or click on "I Want to Present at Staff Development Day" below.
Don't hesitate - the call closes on April 30, 2023.
All proposals will be reviewed by Learning and Development. If selected, you will be scheduled to present your program for a small panel before final decisions are made. Our goal is to notifiy all selected presenters by July 31, 2023.
Please direct any questions about the form or the process to [email protected] [3].
The time commitment and time planning depend on the committee you select. For example, Team Registration will have their tasks closer to the month of August or September. Team Venue will be needed during the beginning planning stages then on the day of the event.
If you are interested, please complete the form by clicking, "I Want to Be Part of the Planning Committe" below no later than March 31.
