Each year, March is designated Women's History Month by presidential proclamation. The month is set aside to honor women's contributions in American history. In honor of the amazing women trailblazers that have come before us, we are excited to offer you five optional courses with the goal of inspiring and empowering women today. Plus, a Women in History Course is coming to MetroU soon!
Course Duration: 1 hour and 4 minutes
Course Description: Women and men alike now recognize how difficult it is to gain a leadership role at work compared to a man. Have you struggled to have your gifts seen and accepted because of your gender? In this course, Alexis Kanda-Olmstead, founder of AKO Collective, an online and in-person leadership development program designed for women, teaches you everyday actions to reframe your distinct power and the gifts of other women in your workplace. Research has proven that women are gifted leaders, but too often dated gender roles and expectations have kept women from obtaining the job titles they deserve. Alexis teaches you how to lift your confidence through small, intentional acts that will work for, not against, women. She provides an empowering action plan and shows you how you can use your inherent power to embrace your leadership style. Upon completing this course, you should feel confident in your ability to advocate and support yourself and other women around you.
Course Duration: 55 minutes
