EPS was recently inspired by Philbrook Museum of Art’s [1]Garden Cat Pen Pal Program and thought our beloved Spoticus would like to get in on the pen pal action! Starting Friday, May 1 we will put out a call for littles to write Spoticus and in turn, Spoticus will write them back. This is a great opportunity to connect with our young customers and their caregivers in a creative and thoughtful way as our community continues to socially distance and quarantine. This is also a great opportunity to promote our Summer Reading Program; we will provide writing prompts for littles that tie in with Summer Reading! All incoming pen pal mail will be received DN and all responses will be sent through EPS.
Our pen pal program is currently slated to run May 1-May 31, but depending on the response we get from the community, we might extend it into June and July. We will keep everyone posted.
We’d love to have your help spreading the word! Information will be shared on our website and through social media starting May 1.
And speaking of Summer Reading, more information will be shared with all staff this week regarding training, which will kick off next week!
If you have any questions, please let us know.
Thank you!
