The 2020 Collaborative Summer Library Program (CSLP) USB manuals arrived last week.  However, the CSLP Board of Directors released a statement [1] in November regarding concerns over the use of Native American imagery being paired with fairytale images.  As a result, they have updated the online manuals and catalog to remove these images.  Unfortunately, it was too late for them to update the print, CD, and USB manuals, as they had already been created and shipped out.  To prevent the accidental use of the removed artwork, we are encouraging everyone to use the online manuals this year.  Below you will find instructions for accessing the online manual.

Tips

• Each library location should share one code.  The Engagement Managers should follow the steps to Obtain 2020 Online Access Codes and share that code with Engagement staff at your location.
• Each Engagement staff person may create their own CSLP account or the Engagement Manager can create a shared account for the whole library to share. However, it is unclear if multiple users can be logged in at the same time using a shared account.
• The Online Access Code may need to be re-entered to access the online manual if you login using a new computer/device or if you clear your cookies.
• If you do not see the tool bar at the top of the screen, make sure that your browser is full screen.

Accessing the CSLP online manual

  Engagement Managers

• Go to http://cslpreads.org [2]
• Login or create a new account by clicking on Login/Register in the upper right hand corner of the CSLP website.
• It may take 24-48 hours for CSLP to activate your account.
• Once you are logged into the site, click on Manual Downloads located on the top tool bar.
• The first time you enter this section, you must request the online manual access code for the 2020 manual by hovering over the Manual Downloads tab on the tool bar and selecting Obtain 2020 Online Access Codes from the dropdown menu.
• Select your state from the dropdown menu.
• Complete the brief form with first and last name, email, and library name.
• The 2020 manual online access code will appear on your screen and an email confirmation will be sent to you with the code.
• Once you have the access code you can go back to the CSLP website, hover over Manual Download, and select Online Manual Access.
• Enter the access code and you will be able to see all four manuals and print any part of them.

  All Other Engagement Staff

• Go to http://cslpreads.org [2]
• Login or create a new account by clicking on Login/Register in the upper right hand corner of the CSLP website.
• It may take 24-48 hours for CSLP to activate your account.
• Once you are logged into the site, click on Manual Downloads located on the top tool bar.
• Enter the access code you received from your Engagement Manager and you will be able to see all four manuals and print any part of them.
