"So, Booksale seemed a little busier this year..." is something we have heard more than once in the past week. We agree, the numbers show it, and none of it would have been possible without your support!

• The Friends have reached a record number of 2,417 members so far this member year (each member year runs May 1 to April 30). Thank you for encouraging our library customers who love our libraries to become Friends members!
• Those members and our community generated an unprecedented $266,000 at the sale! Those funds will come back to support Metro LIbraries. Thank you for promoting the sale in your locations!
• Through it all - 1,040 volunteers gave 10,000 hours of time (and that's not including our year-round work at the sort site) - and we could not do that without them - and YOU encouraging our community to get involved!

Special appreciation goes to Heidi Port for her coordination of the event with the Friends and volunteers. Hats off as well to Marketing and Maintenance for their skills and collaboration.
