September is Library Card Sign-Up Month and we are excited to share some fun promotional opportunities with you! Customers will have the chance to be entered for a drawing for an Amazon Kindle Fire HD 7 and staff will have the chance to win a pizza party.

How can customers get entered?

Library customers will be entered for the drawing if they meet one of the following criteria.

• They sign up to be a cardholder
• They re-activate their inactive card (not used for 1 yr. or more)
• They refer a friend who signs up for a library card (the referral slip must be filled out and sent to marketing)

How do staff win?

• The pizza party will be determined by the percentage increase of new cardholders in September of 2018 compared to September of 2017. The Community Libraries will be counted as one group and Wright and Downtown will be counted as one group.

Suggestions for encouraging library card sign-ups

• Show existing cardholders the referral slips and tell them that by giving the slip to a friend to sign up for a library card they will be entered for the drawing.
• Tell parents they can sign their kids up for a card. After all, it is the most cost-effective school supply they will get their children and it lasts a lifetime.
• Share our Library Card Sign up Month posts on social media to encourage inactive customers and new customers to get a library card.
