This week’s database highlight is all about you and your customers! Summer Reading is officially here and Beanstack [1] tracks all the ways you’re rocking it. Collect badges, record reading progress, and leave reviews. 

While kids love to read and listen to stories, they will also be spending their summer out in the world. Vroom [2] is a free website/app full of tips and activities to encourage learning. Customers can create an account to download the app or simply print out some tips to try first. Tips and activities are provided in English and Spanish. 

Dance Party – Turn on some music and hold them as you dance around. When you sit down together, shake your arms to the music and see if they can do the same. Paying attention to sounds and movements is an early step in listening for sounds – a reading skill. Example activity for 0 - 5.
