In response to requests for an active shooter training, Learning and Development has worked closely with Security Department Manager, Ed Dillard, to select an active shooter training course that is now available.
We are pleased to offer an online Active Shooter Training through EduBrite [1]. The content is provided by FEMA, the Federal Emergency Management Agency. The methods and theories of the training are in line with what was presented at Staff Day 2017.

Please email [email protected] [2] with any questions.
Manager/Supervisor Training Strategy: If there are several staff members who are interested in the training at your location and supervisors and managers have approved the time commitment, invite Ed to a meeting or brown bag lunch at your location. After several/all have completed the training, Ed would be happy to do a site visit and have an interactive discussion over the training, active shooter situations, strategies and concerns your staff may have. Ed has years of experience in law enforcement and is a great resource for the library system. |
If there are any questions on the course content or active shooter situations, Ed Dillard will be happy to answer those and can be reached at [email protected] [3] or by calling 405-606-3757. Ed has also graciously offered to do site visits if they are requested. |
