Yesterday we held two informational meetings at the Downtown Library to discuss upcoming departmental moves that will collocate departments across the system. We covered the need for the changes, goals of the move, the big picture for which departments will be moving and a general timeline.
This move primarily affects staff located Downtown and at the Service Center. Approximately 70% of staff in these two locations will be staying put, while the other 30% will be relocating (some within their existing building, others to another location). We aim to have everyone shifted by the end of August, but recognize that there are many moving pieces that could affect the overall timeline. Meetings with affected departments are expected to occur within the next two weeks to discuss more detailed logistics of the move. As details are finalized, they will get posted to the Intranet.
Please see the attachments for a copy of the presentation and the list of Questions and Answers that were posed during the two meetings. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact me or speak with your supervisor.
