Program Justification
Is a program the best way to meet the expressed need or present information?:
Yes
Does the program fit the goals of the MLS?:
Yes
How & why does this program meet the goals of the MLS?:
This program will allow members to have fun while learning about different places around the world. We will showcase library materials for members to check out that cover the places we learn about during this program. This program also supports our commitment to learning as enjoyment. This fits in with the "discover through flight" aspect of our programming themes. Members will "fly" paper airplanes around to the different continents.
Which Strategic Plan Response/Goals does this program meet?:
Satisfy Curiosity: Visitors explore their interests using the variety of information at the library.
Why will this program be successful?:
This program will be successful because it will allow members to interact with each other on teams to compete for prizes. This will build relationships with each other and relate a fun experience with the library. It is also based on a popular television show, so I think that will make members curious!
How will success be measured/determined?:
attendance; member feedback
