Program Description: 
Cupid's arrow will fly at Valentine story time! Introduce your little ones to the library and create excitement about reading. Connect with others while enjoying Valentine stories, rhymes, a flannel board story, a craft and refreshments.

How & why does this program meet the goals of the MLS?: 
Monthly story and craft times at the library provide a regular opportunity for children ages 3 to 6 to hear stories and learn foundational pre-literacy skills including narrative skills, letter knowledge, print awareness, phonological awareness, print motivation and vocabulary. This is an experience that families value and look to the library to provide.
Which Strategic Plan Response/Goals does this program meet?: 
Satisfy Curiosity: Visitors explore their interests using the variety of information at the library.
Why will this program be successful?: 
The past successes of story and craft times point to an expected attendance by 12 to 18 children and their family members.
How will success be measured/determined?: 
Story time will have 12 to 18 children and their families. Families will utilize other resources of the library in conjunction with their visit to the library, including checking out books and using the children's computers.
