Uno, Dos, Tres, Posada! Learn about Christmas traditions from Mexico through stories and songs. Come help break the piñata and enjoy holiday treats!

How & why does this program meet the goals of the MLS?: 
Navidad, Christmas Traditions from Mexico uses library resources books and music to illuminate holiday traditions of a constituent group who make their home in our community. The program promotes a welcoming atmosphere for all of our members to learn about cultural traditions that they may not have previously experienced.
Which Strategic Plan Response/Goals does this program meet?: 
Satisfy Curiosity: Your libraries are centers that offer access to civic, cultural and community enrichment opportunities.
Why will this program be successful?: 
The program invites members to actively participate in the program and acquire the use of library resources to learn more about Christmas traditions from Mexico.
How will success be measured/determined?: 
Attendance by families in the community. Anticipate attendance of about 40 persons. Active involvement in the program and taking home library resources from the display to extend their learning.
