Program Justification
Is a program the best way to meet the expressed need or present information?:
Yes
Does the program fit the goals of the MLS?:
Yes
How & why does this program meet the goals of the MLS?:
This program has been held at the library for years. It's something the kids look forward to each month. It was the most attended teen program of the summer. The core value of "commitment to learning as enjoyment" would work here. Most of the kids that come into this program do not have the resources to play with the gaming equipment that we have here at the library. While the gaming equipment is a fun program, it also teaches them about new technology and how to interact with others.
Which Strategic Plan Response/Goals does this program meet?:
Satisfy Curiosity: Your libraries are centers that offer access to civic, cultural and community enrichment opportunities.
Why will this program be successful?:
This program was the most successful teen program over the summer and is continually asked about throughout the month. Teens, young adults and children look forward to being able to play with other library members that they don't get to interact with on a regular basis.
How will success be measured/determined?:
Success will be measured by the amount of library members attending.

Are volunteers needed?:
No

Supplies
