Program Justification
Is a program the best way to meet the expressed need or present information?:
Yes
Does the program fit the goals of the MLS?:
Yes
How & why does this program meet the goals of the MLS?:
This program will provide a fun night for teens to express themselves through song while creating bookmarks they can use when reading. The excitement of this event should bring more teens to the library and make the teens that show up want to visit the library more when they find out that we have materials on their favorite pop stars!
Which Strategic Plan Response/Goals does this program meet?:
Satisfy Curiosity: Visitors explore their interests using the variety of information at the library.
Why will this program be successful?:
This program will get teens to the library and allow them to have a good time with their friends. Teens express themselves through the music they listen to- so they can do that with karaoke, or by just making a lyric bookmark to use while reading. We will promote the books that we have available on the topic of music or music artists, as well as Freegal.
