Manager's Decision:
Approved
Is staff available for coverage?:
Yes
Library budget available for this amount and for this target audience?:
Yes
Manager Comments:
The last Pop and Palette in January had very decent attendance (23), so the numbers justify the expense. I am approving this, but we need to watch the numbers this time around, too, to ensure they justify the $130.00 price tag.

Program Justification
Is a program the best way to meet the expressed need or present information?:
Yes
Does the program fit the goals of the MLS?:
Yes
How & why does this program meet the goals of the MLS?:
This program aligns with the core value of “Commitment to Learning as Enjoyment.” Pop & Palette ties in with the quarterly themes of “Finding yourself at the Metro Library” and “tell your story” by encouraging attendees to express themselves through art. This program will serve as an opportunity for community members to actively learn a new skill at the library.
Which Strategic Plan Response/Goals does this program meet?:
Satisfy Curiosity: Your libraries are centers that offer access to civic, cultural and community enrichment opportunities.
Why will this program be successful?:
This is will the third time that Almonte Library has hosted Pop & Palette with Kelly Brinkmeyer as the instructor. I have requested that, during the program, Ms. Brinkmeyer discuss how art is a form of self-expression and can be used as a therapeutic exercise. The previous two Pop & Palette programs had great attendance numbers and I expect the same for this one as well.
How will success be measured/determined?:
Success will be measured by attendee feedback and excitement to check out materials on this subject.
