How & why does this program meet the goals of the MLS?:
This program fits within the themed programming parameters for Aug/Sept/Oct by focusing on kitchen skills. It teaches life skills to teens in an enjoyable way, which fits with the library's core value of learning as enjoyment.
Which Strategic Plan Response/Goals does this program meet?:
Satisfy Curiosity: Visitors explore their interests using the variety of information at the library.
Why will this program be successful?:
I'm hoping that moving from the monthly Makerspace program to a monthly single-event program will allow the marketing to be more focused and draw in more attendees. Plus, food is always a draw at teen programs. :)

Other than marketing the program and shopping for supplies, this program will not require much staff prep time because several teen librarian blogs that I follow have already provided instructions for how to do it: https://yasfnews.wordpress.com/2011/03/03/teen-cooking-microwaves-and-mugs/ http://www.teenlibrariantoolbox.com/2015/12/food-tpib-mug-it-edition/ http://www.teenservicesunderground.com/teens-can-cook/
