Program Description: 
Sharing in playtimes is an excellent way to help children build social skills, promote learning and discover that the library is a destination for fun! We will conclude our play time with a brief educational story time with music, rhymes, movement, flannel board activities and a brief story. A professional librarian will lead story time and share tips on reading readiness. Choose the 9:30 or 10:30 session.

Play & Story Times offer opportunities designed for very young children to enjoy and benefit from the library. The regular offering of such programs instills a habit of using the library and all the good things it holds. As the twig is bent, so inclines the tree.

Satisfy Curiosity: Your libraries are centers that offer access to civic, cultural and community enrichment opportunities.
Why will this program be successful?: 
Children will want to come back for the next opportunity for Play Time and want to come back to the library.

Children will want to come back for the next opportunity for Play Time and want to come back to the library. Attendance average: 8-16 per session. Families will use additional library resources before and after the program.
