Program Description: 
How to Communicate Effectively with Your Healthcare Provider: Oklahoma Healthy Aging Initiative Program Thursday Aug 25, 2016 1:30 pm--2:30 pm Adults Seniors Staff Registration This interactive workshop consists of teaching caregivers how to communicate more effectively with healthcare professionals. Caregivers will then be able to advocate on behalf of the friend or family member in their care. You will gain information on the gifts and challenges of the medical system along with learning the "team" approach to providing overall care. These skills are needed for a more positive interaction between caregivers and the health care system.
