Program Description: 
Teen Lounge will be open the 4th Wednesday of each month for teens looking to pursue their gaming, technology, art, and book interests in a drama free and welcoming environment. Teens can bring along activities such as Yu-Gi-Oh! cards, board or card games, sketch books, anime movies, scrapbooking materials, sewing supplies, and more! Teens are asked to call the library before the program each month regarding the activity they want to bring. The library will have a special theme each session for those who don't have their own activity to take with them.

Teens are important customers and future advocates of the public library. They desire a safe and inviting spot to pursue their interests and be creative. Teen Lounge will allow teens to enjoy learning and growing while also socializing and using the library's services and resources.

Satisfy Curiosity: Visitors explore their interests using the variety of information at the library.
Why will this program be successful?: 
Teens are important customers and future advocates of the public library. They desire a safe and inviting spot to pursue their interests and be creative. Teen Lounge will allow teens to enjoy learning and growing while also socializing and using the library's services and resources.
How will success be measured/determined?: 
If teens meet the set expectations that I will create for the program and if we have a regular group of at least 7-10 teens attending each month, then this program will be successful.

Final Comments: 
This program will replace having a TAB which wasn't well attended; however, this program will allow teens to have input into activities in which they are interested and help me recruit future volunteers which are two key goals of TAB. I have put aside $20 for each meeting of the Teen Lounge.
