I'm unclear whether this is really targeting pre-teens or teens. The blurb sounds like the primary audience would be teens although the primary audience is selected as pre-teens. I think you could make a stronger argument for teens as the primary audience with pre-teens as the secondary. The break up letter especially seems targeted at the older group rather than the more prevalent tween attitude of disinterest in seeking out a love interest. Requested changes were made.

Has love got you down? Is Valentine’s Day not your thing? Come celebrate the Nightmare before Valentine’s Day with other teens! Craft the perfect breakup letter, smash heart candy and more. Bring your friends and take un-festive photos in a photo booth. All black clothing is encouraged but not required. After the party, be sure to check out the library’s collection of heartbreak stories, tales of unrequited love and empowering yourself.

This program showcases the library as a place to learn in a fun yet educational environment and to interact with other pre-teens.

This is our first program aimed at tweens. We will be targeting the local middle schools, and placing the event on local community boards.

Success will be measure by attendance and also the enthusiasm of the teens attending.

Final Comments: 
I think this is a great opportunity for us the break into the tween market. We have previously under-served this demographic. I think Abigail is the perfect person with the right enthusiasm to make the program a success.
