Finance & Support – Lloyd discussed his first time attending the Public Library Association (PLA) conference . He stated the presentations at PLA were substantial and the event was full of great information. He really enjoyed attending the conference.
Information Technology – Anne announced the IT department is preparing for their carpet installation. Anne also discussed her experience at PLA this year.
Development – Out of the Office
Human Resources – Lori stated the HUM Department moved back into their office yesterday (March 18th) once the carpet was installed.
The Executive Director Search Committee staff meeting schedule is being arranged. Lori announced she is working half days. Kelley Hoffman will be in charge when Lori is on maternity leave.
MAC – The Marketing Department is moving out of their office for a few days during the carpet install. Marketing Department phones are forwarded to the third floor staff training room.
Kim added ‘Summer Reading’ material will be sent to the printer once approved by the Commission.
Materials & Outreach – Karen stated she had a wonderful time at PLA this year.
The Materials Selection Department’s carpet will be installed over the weekend (March 22nd). They are currently packing and moving their items.

Library Operations & Planning – Kay reported there is informational video on MyMetroLibrary explaining the new Summer Reading program. The Staff Reading program starts on April 1st; however, staff could start signing up on Monday (March 17th). The Staff reading program is aimed to provide a similar experience as our customers. With an early sign up, staff can see how customers will be able to use the site prior to Summer Reading officially beginning. Other components of the Summer Reader program will be available on April 1st. Watch MyMetrolibrary for more information.
Kay announced the new Meeting Room Policy has passed through the Public Services Committee, it will go to the Commission tomorrow (March 20th).
Library Operations (Headquarters) – Candace stated the carpet is complete on the fourth floor and there isn’t much going on at this time.
