We love our librarians!

Hey librarians, we love you and we know our customers do, too. We are proud to promote the I Love My Librarian Awards to our Metro Library Community. In September we will share information on social media for our community to participate in and nominate MLS Librarians for the I Love My Librarian Awards. All staff are encouraged to also share their librarian love and submit nominations as they wish. Nominations are due by September 27th for the 2022 Awards.

Glad we are promoting this to our community! Since this is specifically a nationwide thing, maybe in the future we could also have a local or systemwide version so we can promote the celebration of literacy and our amazing and dedicated staff right here in OKC. I know it would mean the world to a lot of our staff to be recognized for their innovative and creative endeavors as they create magic on a daily basis for our community.
Thanks, Pallas, and agreed - we actually brainstormed that in DVS yesterday... what would it look like to collaborate with ODL or Tulsa/Pioneer/Metro for librarian or library staff recognition. Local = Regional = National... we're on the same page! I will tuck this idea away for the future. Thank you!
