ODL Workshop Mar. 7

Looking for a way to develop your library elevator pitch and gain a better understanding of the best way to present the library in your community? Former Library President and Attorney, Valerie J. Gross is bringing her popular library workshop to OKC. The workshop encourages librarians to represent their library in the community and uses an easy to remember three-pillar model to present the key points of communication.

- Redefine your library in a new, innovative way, using strategic vocabulary.
- Dispel misperceptions about libraries and increase respect for librarians.
- Heighten your library’s visibility and stature with customers and funding sources.
- Introduce this approach to key constituents.
- Develop strategies you can integrate immediately into your work.
How to Register
Before you can register, you must complete the Event Attendance Request form with your supervisor’s signature this form is a request and NOT an approval. Once you and your supervisor have signed the form, you can scan and return it to [email protected] or interoffice it to the Learning and Development department. Once officially approved you will receive a notification from Learning and Development.
Seating will be limited, so complete and submit the Event Attendance Request Form to L & D asap for approval.
Registration will open sometime next week and approved staff will be notified to register via an email from Learning and Development.
