New Giving Brochure

The Library Endowment Trust has created a new giving brochure/envelope called ‘Supporting Your Library’. Copies of the brochures are being distributed to all locations this week. Simply display these brochures at your location and utilize them as a tool when customers and community members approach staff about how they can support our libraries.

Donors can use the brochure (it has a handy envelope attached) or go to www.supportmls.org to make a gift. When they give, they can designate their gift to support their local MLS library location, system-wide programming initiatives including Summer Reading or the growth of our collection including support of our special collections. How cool is that? Donors can also designate their gift to help grow our Endowment. Gifts that are not designated will go directly to support the Endowment. If you run out of brochures or someone needs a stack, just call DVS or visit our printable PDF to access a simple giving form.

Now, how does this differ from the Donation option during a customer check-out? Good question! The Donation option at check-out is designed for situations when customers tell you to ‘keep the change’ from paying their fees. Please do not use that option at check out when someone asks about giving to the library – instead, use a brochure or form or direct them to us in DVS.
