MetroU: Mental Health Awareness Month Courses


Mental Health America created Mental Health Awareness Month in 1949 to provide Americans with tools and resources as part of their outreach program to improve mental health. Learning & Development has curated a list of ten optional courses and webinars for you to explore!
Please note: 8 of the 10 offerings on Mental Health Awareness are hosted outside of MetroU. As a reminder, you should fill out the Self-Reported Training form in MetroU after completion of any of the outside training opportunities so that they can be reflected in your training transcript.
How to Take Ownership of Your Mental Health
Course Date: On-Demand
Course Description: Join the host of Calm’s in-app program The Daily Trip Jeff Warren and Beth Behrs, mindfulness enthusiast and sitcom superstar of “Two Broke Girls” and “The Neighborhood” for an open, honest, and at-times-quirky conversation about managing the struggles of mental health. Workplace Violence & De-Escalation Techniques

Course Description: Violence in the workplace involves a continuum of behavior from threats and verbal abuse to physical assaults and even homicide.
