EDS and Ebsco eBooks

Ebsco Discovery Service (EDS) has been canceled with the last day of access being 4/30/23.  The drop-down research option on the homepage has been removed.  The search box on the database page is being updated and will continue to search Ebsco resources.

As many of you know, bibliographic records for Ebsco eBooks haven’t been added to CARL.X since 2017 because duplicates were created upon loading.  The decision was made to delete the Ebsco bibliographic records which were in CARL.X and the deletion was completed on Friday, April 7th.  Ebsco eBooks will continue to be available at www.metrolibrary.org/ebscoebooks and  www.metrolibrary.org/downloads.

Collection Services & Development is working over the next six months to improve discovery of MLS resources.  As we make updates, we will keep you informed.
