If you missed the news, we now have a wonderful new service called Niche Academy available for you to help you learn more about our eResources. Instead of posting a new eResource Mini Series video this month, I’d like the take the time to highlight one of the Niche Academy courses on Ancestry Library Edition.
The Leadership Engagement and Acceleration Program (LEAP) was tasked with creating a plan to educate and inform staff of our new core values, as well as creating a plan to implement the core values across the system. We recently presented our recommendations and strategies to various managers and members of the leadership team, and we are sharing our presentation along with all supporting documents for transparency and educational purposes.
These strategies are in no way guaranteed to be implemented, but we wanted to share the culmination of several months of research and strategic planning with all members of staff. Thank you to everyone who responded to the surveys LEAP sent out this fall - the information you provided was of enormous help in planning out many of our strategies.

The Metropolitan Library System will start this upcoming quarter of the new author hour series which will feature authors of different genres from across the nation and in the UK. This quarter features the genres of Oklahoma Authors, Black History Month and Publishing Talk all on Facebook Live.
We have received word our vendor, LibraryMarket, will be updating our website tomorrow. There should be no impacts on site load or speed. Most of the updates are performance related but there will be a few LibraryCalendar updates that may impact how our events are displayed on our site. If something is not working or does not appear to be loading correctly, please email Kellie Delaney ([email protected]).
We will be monitoring the site throughout the day to ensure the updates are successful.
