Think about last week - the United Way

We are extending the United Way campaign for another week since we were out most of last week. This past week was eye-opening to me. Of course I still don't have electricity and have felt like I've been living in another time period, however, it's just been a week. But think of the many people and children who live without electricity every day. They live without a roof over their heads or can't afford to pay for gas, electric or fresh water. The United Way has 56 partner agencies who work with families dealing with this every day.

eResource Mini Series: EDS, EBSCOhost, and Explora

Since we can't meet in-person right now and the Introduction to E-resources workshop has been put on pause, we've created an eResource Mini Series to help you learn more about our databases and stay up-to-date on all our digital resources. These monthly videos will take you on a virtual tour of one of our databases and give you ideas about how they can be used.

    Author Hour Series to Start Online

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – The Metropolitan Library System will soon launch its new author hour series which will feature authors of different genres from across the nation and in the UK.  The series kicks off October 31 at 2 p.m. on Facebook Live featuring three young adult, paranormal authors.

“Author Hour was created to give people in the community a chance to connect with authors,” said Danielle Bunner, adult engagement specialist at the Edmond Library. “I specifically wanted to represent a variety of different genres and authors in the panels, to help expose people to books and authors they
