Holiday Open House at Downtown Library

Thanks to all who participated in the Holiday Open House Festival of Trees.  Even with all the snow on Sunday, we hosted over 200 guests for the festivities.  Our customers had the opportunity to enjoy the theme trees and voted on their favorites.  They were all wonderful and they all got many votes.

The People's Choice winner this year is Belle Isle Library with their animated "I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas tree.First Runner Up is Development and Volunteer Services with the Grinch Song tree.

Congratulations to all!  I hope everyone enjoyed this project.  I know our customers enjoy seeing our library talent in action.

Congratulations Belle Isle!!!

Congratulations Belle Isle!!! I *HAD* to vote for your tree because it also had rhinoceroses! (Instant win in my book!) But I loved them all; we had some really cute and creative décor.
I also enjoyed making ornaments, watching my boys decorate their cookies (& drink cocoa) and having their picture taken with Santa Claus. Thank you everyone who participated in making this such a great experience.

Great job, Candace!

Candace, it was another triumph for you, great job! Downtown Library, everything looked great. My grandson loved Philsville, Tim's train, and Belle Isle's tree (he's a little young to appreciate Elvis).
