Kellie presented an update for further discussion on the questions to ask participants to register for the summer reading program.
We reviewed the three options the software offers for registering:
- Individual -- each person completes and oversees his/her registration and tracking.
- Family -- the person who will manage must register first and then may add others who will all be overseen by one person such as the mother or father.
- Group -- the person who will manage will register the group. No one is listed individually rather the members are numbers. All members achieve the goals at the same time.
The committee could see advantages and disadvantages of the Family and Group options and asked that Emily and Kristin develop instructions for the various types of registrations The committee will then be able to use this to decide on whether we will use the Group and Family options for registering. The instructions will be completed by January 16 and will then be used for training.
Drawings -- Outreach & Development will work together to coordinate the automated drawing, delivery and notifications. Each library will have winners of drawing prizes.
Kay will talk with Stacy about the reading program and invite him to the next meeting.
