OES Updates
Summer Reading wrap-up – discussion to evaluate what worked, what didn't work, and what ideas we had for next year: some of children’s SMO programs were things we could do ourselves/robotic shark jaw was great, teen volunteers were great, next year have teen volunteers in TikToks, virtual volunteer opportunities were not well utilized as teens wanted to be in person, teen brain development/trauma-informed and behavioral overview section needed in SR training since it’s for all managers and not just teen services staff, OKC Zoo was difficult to schedule this year, good adult book choices for prizes
TeenTober and summer volunteer t-shirt art contest – Emily and Heidi – teens can design their own SR t-shirts for next year, marketing and promo materials will be coming by October 1
YALSA YA Services Symposium – please review the program sessions at https://www.ala.org/yalsa/programs-special-events-0 and let Emily know if you would like notes and other information from a specific session
