Summer Reading Update

EPS still in the process of scheduling summer programs with the Zoo, Science Museum, and Art Museum. EPS will input them in SignUp.

Training program is in progress, possibly training at staff meetings.

Postcards being bundled to be delivered to schools. There is concern about what would happen with delivery if a strike occurs.

Books have been delivered to the Service Center and are being sorted.

Website with Summer Reading page getting updated and forums ready.
Communication
Minutes being posted on the Intranet to share with library staff.
EPS visits to libraries - EPS would like to attend engagement and staff meetings to discuss OBPE and answer questions.
Sharing information with library staff - Cabinet members were asked to share with their managers and direct reports things discussed at cabinet meetings.

Programming Pause

There was confusion for many Engagement staff about the pause and what it means and how it should look at the different locations.

The group requested that the pause be fully defined and in writing so that all will be able to understand what it is and what it is not.
OBPE Revisited
Cabinet members discussed their understanding of OBPE, their role in the community needs assessment, and were assigned external factors to research for our next meeting. People were encouraged to utilize their staff to help with the community needs assessment/external factor research.
