Alignment Project Planning Team Minutes - May 25, 2017

Appraisals Post-Alignment

The committee discussed appraisals following the alignment.  Standards that were in effect during the majority of the appraisal period will remain applicable and will continue to be used for a while. Supervisors will complete appraisals for their prior direct reports if it occurs within the next month.

Open Positions

Anyone interested in the open Tier 1 positions should apply as soon as possible.  Postings will be open one week internally and if needed an additional one week externally.  Positions will close June 2. 

Training

METRO Way volunteers have been contacted to confirm their participation.  The group discussed feedback about the Short-Term Training Plan.  Offering the trainings will be a team effort and there will be lots of opportunities for staff to participate. 

Alignment Feedback

Alignment was discussed at the Library Managers meeting.  Managers will continue to discuss Alignment with the purpose in mind and will check for understanding. 

Supervisory Updates

HUM is investigating whether Paycom can be updated automatically in bulk, but if not it will be done manually.  Past supervisors should to continue to assist with time cards until the permissions have been transferred to new supervisors.

Alignment Progress Check/Calendar Update

The group reviewed the Alignment Work Plan for any needed updates.

Other

The title for the Senior Manager of Libraries will be changed to Director of Member Services to better reflect the role of the position.

IT will begin updating the email distribution lists next week and will be reviewing the other technology needs specific to the alignment.
